T.S. Morgan grew up in the family film business, where he learned to break human drama down into scenes, frame by frame. It made him hyperconscious of the little details, like the three-inch hair growing out of the mole on a librarian’s chin, which she has never cared to tweeze and which he has spent his entire adult life trying not to look at. He also learned that life is not fair, but it is an adventure, and in his case, usually a misadventure.
Misadventures have followed him everywhere, from Florence, where he was chased by a pheasant, to Costa Rica, where he was almost run out of town for reading an E.E. Cummings poem to his sixth-grade English class.
